CONSOLIDATE YOUR SUPER
If you have more than one super account, the smartest thing to do is put all your super in one account, so you can save on fees, minimise paperwork and maximise your earnings.
Before combining funds do some research and check if any of the following applies:
- Check with your previous fund to see if there are any exit fees or penalties for transferring
- Just be aware that if you have insurance benefits and you cancel the fund, your insurances may cease as well.

Find you lost super
Australians have more than $11.9 billion in lost super. As we change jobs numerous times throughout our working life, we often don’t keep track of super. We also change home addresses and fail to inform the fund of our new details.
If you think you may have lost super do a quick search by:
- Phoning the Australian Taxation Office Superseeker hotline on 13 28 63
- Visit www.ato.gov.au and make sure you have your tax file number on hand
