Club Plus Super has appointed two new board members with strong technology and transformation experience. They further enhance the fund’s bench strength at board level to navigate an environment of significant digital and technology transformation and further enhance the fund’s reputation for exceptional personal service.
Social justice advocate Julie Korlevska joined the board late last year. Ms Korlevska was the Assistant Secretary of the former United Voice, NSW Branch and is currently the Deputy Director (People, Culture & Change), at the newly formed United Workers Union. Ms Korlevska’s experience working in a broad industry member based organisation is highly relevant.
Governance specialist and club industry stalwart Keith Gomes joined the fund’s board in March, bringing a deep knowledge of the club industry from more than a decade on the boards of ClubsNSW, Club Keno Holdings and a major Western Sydney Club. Former senior executive roles at Oracle, KPMG, Optus, Singapore Telecom and IBM, Mr Gomes brings a wealth transformative digital and technology experience to the boardroom. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Club Plus Super chief executive Stefan Strano said the two new appointments were consistent with the fund’s digital transformation agenda. Club Plus Super has also recently established a new Head of Technology position reporting through the Chief Operating Officer David Barton.
“We pride ourselves on what our members tell us is an exceptional level of personal service, and our digital roadmap is very much guided by that,” Mr Strano said.
“Keith and Julie understand this instinctively and are able to bring their wealth of experience and knowledge to bear on the fund’s priorities.
“Our focus is on removing friction points through better use of technology to enable our team to further enhance the member experience with richer interactions during key life moments”.
As well as joining Club Plus Super’s main Trustee Board Ms Korlevska and Mr Gomes both take up positions on the Member Experience Committee. Ms Korlevska will also join the People and Governance Committee while Mr Gomes joins the Risk and Audit Committee.
