Club Plus Super Chair takes up new role in NSW Legislative Council

After 13 years of service, including two-and-a-half as Chair, Tara Moriarty has stepped down from the Club Plus Super board. Ms Moriarty was elected as a member of the Legislative Council at the recent state election in New South Wales. Club Plus Super Chief Executive Stefan Strano praised Ms Moriarty’s dedicated commitment to the fund.

“On behalf of our members and the team at Club Plus Super, I want to thank Tara for her outstanding contribution to our fund,” Mr Strano said.

“Club Plus Super prides itself on getting to know its members as people, rather than as data. Tara’s career-long dedication to the people who work in our sector has embodied this ethos.

“Tara’s member-first values have always aligned with our mission and her perspective has been invaluable.

“In recent years, under Tara’s oversight as Chair, we have tightened our governance and modernised our structures in alignment with our purpose: to support the journey of our members to retire on their own terms. I wish Tara all the very best for her new career in parliament.”

Ms Moriarty noted she was glad to leave the fund in excellent health.

“I am proud to have chaired a fund I can genuinely say puts its members first in every single consideration – big and small,” Ms Moriarty said.

“The culture at Club Plus Super is excellent and robust. We have the board and management team in place to continue delivering for our members.

“Thank you to everyone who supported me during my 13 years on the board.”
