A note from Stefan Strano, CEO
You may have seen reports in the media about a crime syndicate using identity fraud to target the accounts of thousands of Australians across a broad range of financial institutions. One of the many affected was a member of Club Plus Super.
What we’re doing about it?
I know how hard our members work for their wages and the idea of identity thieves targeting their personal data to steal from them is appalling. We’ve been working closely with authorities to aid their investigation, as well as conducting our own review.
Fortunately, we have not identified any additional fraudulent activity where a member has not already been contacted. But that doesn’t mean we will let our guard down – and neither should you.
How does this affect you?
Identity theft can affect anyone, so it’s critical you’re informed. We’ve put together some information about phishing and how to mitigate the risk, which you can read here.
In the meantime, I’d encourage you to log in to your super account and check your personal details are up to date.
If you have any queries at all, please don’t hesitate to contact us by email or call us on 1800 680 627. Our mission at Club Plus Super is to support our members to retire on their own terms, and that means staying safe and secure.
